Kishan And Struggle

Kishan's life is caught in a devastating cycle of financial hardship and despair. With his crops failing due to drought and mounting debts, he finds himself cornered by the local money lender, Saokar. When Kishan desperately seeks a loan, Saokar not only refuses but cruelly suggests that Kishan send his wife into servitude to repay his debt. As Kishan struggles to maintain his dignity and provide for his family, flashbacks reveal the depth of their deterioration: his daughter is gravely ill, requiring medical care he cannot afford, and school fees remain unpaid. Facing insurmountable odds, Kishan's desperation pushes him to consider unthinkable options. The narrative delves into the profound struggle between honor, survival, and familial duty. This story explores the crushing weight of poverty and the moral compromises people are forced to make when faced with systemic failure and predatory lending practices. The book is a poignant examination of resilience against overwhelming adversity, questioning the boundaries of human endurance when basic necessities—like food, health, and education—are threatened.
